The inaugural NSTC AI Innovation Award, co-organized by the National Science and Technology Council and industry partners, seeks cross-disciplinary AI innovations focused on integration, innovation, applicability, and social impact.
A team from our program—comprising undergraduate students Chen Yu-Sheng and Yu Ming-Jie, and graduate student Chen Wei-Rong—competed under the team name "ARC_方舟," advised by Prof. Tsung-Yu Hou and Prof. Yi-Hsiu Chen. Their proposal in the education and entertainment category, "萌芽先聲：灌溉成長的每一句童言，捕捉發展的關鍵一瞬 (Sprouts of Voice: Every Word That Nurtures Growth, Every Milestone That Matters)," won the 2025 AI Innovation Award with a prize of NT$1,000,000.
The team subsequently showcased their work at the Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo – Future Technology Pavilion (Oct 16–18) and received the award at the "AI Future: Innovation Application Technology Forum" on October 18.
