The Digital Content and Technologies(DCT) Bachelor’s Program of National Chengchi University is the nationwide premiere undergraduate program that integrates the College of Communications and College of Sciences (Department of Computer Science) together.

Comparing to the related faculties at home and abroad, DCT offers a unique chance of combining interdiscipline learning.
The Department of Journalism and College of Communications, NCCU, have gone through 70 years of accumulation in its solid research and teaching basis, on the other hand, supported by relevant departments such as art and humanities, sociology, psychology, intellectual property, marketing, innovation and creativity.

Thus, with the combination of communication and information technology, DCT offers a high-quality environment to develop digital storytelling, interaction research, new media art and new media technology innovation.

  • Positioning

DCT program is offered in the form of double major for students from the entire school, where they learn second skills based on digital content and technology.

The goal of the program is to educate multi-disciplined talents with expertise in humanism, IT design and technical skills.
Evaluating the domestic talent gap of the digital content industry, DCT integrates the teachers’ expertise and research resources from both College of Communications and College of Science, and established its characteristic by planning for future developments based on two cores,  including digital storytelling & entertainment technology and new media & interactive design.

  • Prospective students
  1. Students from the entire university, who are in their second year of college and upwards.
  2. Students outside the College of Communications and Department of Computer Science take more than two-thirds of enrollment quota.
  3. The actual enrollment quota for each year is based on the double major announcement from the Office of Academic Affairs, NCCU.
  • Application and Selection

The application schedule is based on the double-major operation procedure of the university.

The application materials include application form, transcript and other beneficial documents for application.

Selection will be made through documentary review by the DCT’s screening committee. An oral examination will be conducted if necessary.

  • Degree Certificate

The approved DCT students who have completed the required credits to graduate in their original department, as well as completed and pass the required subjects of DCT within the study period, will be awarded with Digital Content and Technology Degree, “Bachelor of Science(BS)” upon their graduation.
